Overview

Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data CathCompass collects and how it is used. By default, all of your health data is stored locally on your device. If you choose to enable the optional iCloud Backup feature, your data is also copied to your own private iCloud account — see the “iCloud Backup” section below for details.

Data Collection

By default, all information you enter into the app — including catheterization logs, fluid intake entries, leakage entries, medications, and reminder settings — is stored on your device using Apple’s local storage (UserDefaults). The developer operates no servers and does not use analytics, tracking, or advertising technology.

iCloud Backup (Optional)

CathCompass offers an optional backup feature powered by Apple’s CloudKit service. If you enable it:

• Your catheterization logs, intake/leakage entries, medications, and reminder settings are copied to your personal iCloud private database.
• This data is stored in your own private iCloud account. The developer cannot access it, and it is never shared with the developer or any third party.
• You can disable this feature at any time in Settings. Disabling it stops future backups but does not affect data already stored locally on your device.

This feature is off by default and entirely optional.

Notifications

Reminder notifications are delivered through Apple’s local notification system and remain on your device without external transmission.

Data Sharing

The app does not distribute or sell your information to third parties. Export features (PDF/CSV) generate files on your device, and you control how those files are shared.

Data Deletion

Removing the app permanently erases all information stored locally on your device.

Children’s Privacy

CathCompass is not intended for users under 13, and the developer does not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

Any future updates to this policy will be posted at this same page with a revised “Last Updated” date.
